Carl Hubbell Blanks Colorado , 14-0
|
Carl Hubbell was dynamite at Coors Field, blowing away the Colorado Rockies in a shutout victory. The New York (N) Mets starter had everything working as he held the Rockies to 8 hits in the 14-0 win.
"He was pure nasty out there today," said Colorado skipper Ben Thompson. "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing."
Hubbell finished the game with 5 strikeouts and 2 walks.
Checking out his stats for the season, Hubbell has registered 8 wins and 5 losses in 17 starts, posted a 3.15 ERA, and struck out 120 batters in 128.2 innings.
