The Boston Red Sox powered past the New York (A) Yankees, 8-4, at Yankee Stadium. Sixto Lezcano was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2, to lead the charge. Boston bumps their record to 38-44 with the win.

Boston used the timely hitting of Adam Jones to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Red Sox on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Lezcano told the Boston Daily News.
