Baltimore Beats Texas in Extra Innings
|
The Baltimore Orioles powered past the Texas Rangers, 8-6, at Globe Life Field. Hunter Pence provided some of the pop. He was 4-6 with a triple and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winner was Roxie Lawson in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Mike Schooler took the loss. Jonny Venters closed it out for his 18th save.
The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until Pence delivered big-time for Baltimore, stroking a dramatic 2-run triple off Mike Schooler. The game-changing hit put the Orioles on top, 8-6.
"We'll take this win and move on," said Pence.
The losses continue to mount for Texas, which has now dropped 6 in a row.
