Wil Cordero added some punch to the Houston offense, helping them outmuscle the New York (N) Mets, 8-7. In the game, Cordero, who is tied for 4th in the NL in triples with 5, was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. George Frazier came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-1. Houston is now 31-44, while New York (N) is 47-27.

The decisive blow was delivered by Joe Orsulak in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 24-year old left-handed pitcher Jeremy Affeldt to win the game for Houston. The home crowd went nuts.
