Thanks in large part to first baseman George Scott, the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Boston Red Sox, 15-8. Scott slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Ed Hanyzewski recorded the save for Milwaukee, his 1st of the season.

Milwaukee used the hitting of Johnny Romano to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Brewers on top, 3-0. For the game, Romano had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Milwaukee manager Mike Ejercito.
