Montreal Expos starter Dave Boswell was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the San Francisco Giants, 6-2. The victory gives the Expos a record of 31-30.

The Expos got a big at-bat from designated hitter Lu Blue. For the game, Blue went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Montreal a 3-2 lead.
