Boston Downed, 4-2, by Marlins
|
Miami Marlins starter Chris Holt pitched well against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park, leading his team to a win, 4-2. Holt picked up the win for Miami, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 3-4. The save went to Buck Farmer, his 4th this season.
Had Thad Bosley not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Bosley hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Marlins.
"Chris did a good job of shutting their lineup down," said Miami manager Bobby K.
Miami occupies 8th place in the National League at 21-32.
