Scott Stars in 9-5 Brewers Win
|
The performance of George Scott proved critical in helping Milwaukee beat Philadelphia, 9-5. The Brewers first baseman was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. The win puts the Brewers at 34-19, while the Phillies drop to 24-27.
In the bottom of the seventh, the Brewers grabbed the lead when Scott hit his 8th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Duaner Sanchez made it 7-5, Milwaukee.
"If it's down the middle," said Scott, "you might as well hit it."
