Expos Top Cardinals to Even Record
The Montreal Expos dealt the St. Louis Cardinals a 6-2 loss at Stade Olympique. Billy Goodman, who finished 5th in the NL in batting average with .351 last year, was the star on offense. He went 3-4 with 3 singles. He scored 2 times. Dave Boswell earned the win for Montreal. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 11 hits, while striking out 7.
