Marlins Rally to Eke Out Win
|
The Miami Marlins picked up a win at Miami Park, knocking off the New York (N) Mets, 3-2, in 20 innings. Starting pitcher Shawn Hillegas played a key role in the triumph. With this game in the books, Miami is 18-24, New York (N) 28-14.
The Marlins got a clutch hit from right fielder Thad Bosley. In the bottom of the 20th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Marlins.
"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Hillegas said.
