The New York (A) Yankees picked up a win at Yankee Stadium, knocking off the Minnesota Twins, 5-4, in 10 innings. On the mound for New York (A) was left-hander Teddy Higuera. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. New York (A) is now 19-15, Minnesota 15-20.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the tenth, an error by the Twins allowed the Yankees to score the winning run.
