Allen Helps New York (N) Take Divisional Series Game 1
The New York (N) Mets started the Divisional Series in style, downing the visiting Philadelphia Phillies at Shea Stadium by a score of 10-6 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Mets left fielder Dick Allen was 4-4 with 3 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 5.

Allen went 4-4 with 3 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5 against the Phillies. In the bottom of the first inning, he hit a 2-run double that put New York (N) in front, 2-0.
