Raucous Yankee Stadium Crowd Propels Yankees to 5-4 Victory; Series Tied at 2
Minnesota designated hitter Greg Luzinski pounded New York (A) Yankees pitchers at Yankee Stadium, but it was not enough to keep the Twins from falling, 5-4, in Game 4 of the Divisional Series. Luzinski hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice, though he couldn't prevent the Twins from slipping into a 2-2 tie in the best-of-7 series.

New York (A) took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Johnny Grubb hit a run-scoring single to make it 5-4, Yankees.

New York (A) manager Brett Fogerson called it "a darn good win."
