Rangers Rally to Nose Past Philadelphia
|
The Texas Rangers topped the Philadelphia Phillies, 5-4, in American League action at Globe Life Field. The standout performance belonged to Texas pitcher and Holstein, Iowa, native Foster Edwards. The winner was Texas reliever Mike Schooler, now 1-0. The loser was Ken Howell. With the win, Texas boosts its record to 11-16.
The decisive blow was delivered by Tyler Stephenson in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Ken Howell to win the game for Texas. The home crowd went nuts.
"This house was rockin'," Edwards said.
