Starting pitcher Clyde King pitched well enough to help the Seattle Mariners beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 5-4. King got the win, improving to 9-6. He gave up 8 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. He allowed 3 runs. Rocky Coppinger, who leads the AL in saves with 36, nailed down the save.

Brett Wisely had a big solo home run for the Mariners in the bottom of the seventh inning. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Mariners on top, 5-1.

"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said King.
