Yankees Earn Win with Late Rally
|
The New York (A) Yankees picked up a win at Yankee Stadium, knocking off the Minnesota Twins, 5-4, in 13 innings. Starting pitcher Rich Nye played a key role in the triumph. The 5th-place Twins have dropped 5 straight games.
The Yankees got a clutch hit from first baseman Brendan Harris. In the bottom of the 13th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Yankees.
"To not win that game stings a little bit," said Minnesota manager Dan Hornbaker.
