White Sox Bang Out 6-4 Win Versus Cleveland
|
The Chicago (A) White Sox topped the Cleveland Guardians, 6-4, the lion's share of the credit going to right fielder Bryce Harper. On the day, Harper was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the White Sox. With the win, Chicago (A) goes to 85-72, while the Guardians fall to 67-90.
Davis Schneider had a big 2-run double for the White Sox in the bottom of the second inning. With Chicago (A) leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from 35-year old right-handed pitcher Milt Gaston and swatted a double to left. It was his 32nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the White Sox ahead, 3-0.
Said Chicago (A) manager Steven Ejercito: "We squared some balls up."
