In a low-scoring game between Texas and Colorado , pitcher Foster Edwards was excellent. The Texas right-hander helped his team knock off the Rockies, 1-0. The Rangers go to 56-100, putting them last in the American League.

The Rangers got a big at-bat from right fielder Kevin Bass. For the game, Bass was 1 for 4 with a home run. In the top of the first, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 35th home run of the season gave Texas a 1-0 lead.

"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Edwards after the game.
