The San Francisco Giants trumped the Baltimore Orioles, 10-7, at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. San Francisco right fielder Johnny Rizzo was terrific. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. San Francisco pitcher Ben Hendrickson got the win, upping his record to 9-13. Lou Fette got the loss. Garrett Olson sewed up the save, his 34th.
In the top of the third, San Francisco left fielder Joe Lefebvre had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Lefebvre stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 3-0, San Francisco. For the game, he went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We're not exactly playing great right now," said Andre Ivarsson, the Baltimore manager.
The Orioles, at 63-91, have lost 5 straight games.
