The New York (A) Yankees did just enough to secure a victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks, 8-7, in 11 innings at Chase Field. Nobody did more than second baseman Lonny Frey. Dillon Gee locked down his 4th save. With the win, New York (A) goes to 70-82, while the Diamondbacks fall to 89-63.

New York (A) needed the clutch hitting of Barney McCosky to seal the deal. The center fielder swatted a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Yankees on top, 7-6. For the game, McCosky had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We had a chance to win," said Arizona manager Alex Baxter, "but we didn't get it done."
