Boswell Struts Stuff in Win Over Boston
|
In an outstanding mound performance, Montreal Expos starter Dave Boswell fired a complete-game shutout against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.
Boswell was the key to the 1-0 Montreal win. The 23-year-old right-hander was in high spirits for much of the game, his mood largely unfazed by the 6 hits and 1 walk he allowed.
"6 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter, as long as it was a shutout."
Thus far this season, Boswell has tossed 204 innings in 31 starts, fanned 216 batters, walked 88 and put up a 4.32 ERA with 15 wins and 10 losses.
