The New York (A) Yankees topped the Arizona Diamondbacks, 6-4, in American League action at Chase Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of New York (A) pitcher Rich Nye. The 6th-place Yankees bumped their record to 69-82.

New York (A) used a clutch at-bat from Matt Walbeck to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Yankees ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Rich is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said New York (A) manager Brett Fogerson.
