Brewers Get 6-4 Win Versus Montreal
|
The 6-4 Milwaukee win over Montreal was due largely to Hee-seop Choi. The Brewers first baseman went 2-2 with a home run and 2 walks. Mike Fiers, now 3-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. Earning his 32nd save for Milwaukee was Jonathan Broxton.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Greg Bollo didn't flinch. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Montreal trailing 6-4, Bollo retired Brett Gardner to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Bollo, with a wink.
The American League-leading Brewers have a record of 98-51.
