Reimold has 4 hits to Light Yankees Fuse
|
Led by Nolan Reimold, the New York (A) Yankees downed the Chicago (A) White Sox, 13-7. Reimold went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Yankees. The Yankees, at 66-81, sit in 6th place in the American League.
Tyler Freeman had a big run-scoring double for the Yankees in the top of the seventh inning. With New York (A) leading 7-6 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a curveball from Ray Narleski, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1996 draft, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 23rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Yankees ahead, 8-6.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Freeman told the New York (A) Chronicle.
