Twins Turn Away Mariners, 3-2

The Minnesota Twins defeated the Seattle Mariners, 3-2, at Metropolitan Stadium. Minnesota left fielder Pat McNulty had a superb performance. He was 3 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Minnesota now has a record of 73-67 with the win.
Jose Offerman helped out the Minnesota cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the first baseman was 1-4.
"I like what I saw today," said Minnesota manager Dan Hornbaker, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
