Montreal Expos starter Dave Boswell turned in an exceptional performance against the New York (A) Yankees at Yankee Stadium, resulting in a Montreal win, 9-2. The 5th-place Expos now sit at 70-67.
Rafael Palmeiro hit a 2-run triple off Rich Nye in the top of the first, which put the Expos in front, 2-0. Palmeiro had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
"We'll need a much better effort, the next time out," said losing manager Brett Fogerson.
