All game long, New York (N)'s Dick Allen was rattling the walls at Wrigley Field and banging out base hits against the Chicago (N) Cubs. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 6-hit day and the Mets had a win, 16-12.

Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 22-year-old left fielder said, "Get 6 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this."

Dick Allen hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Henderson Alvarez III in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Matt Albers in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 8th.

Thus far this year, Allen has hit .329 with 26 home runs and 124 RBIs.
