Red Sox Get Past Minnesota for 3-2 Win
Metropolitan Stadium was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Twins.

Boston pitcher Aaron Small did his part in helping his team defeat the Minnesota Twins, 3-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The winner was Small. He threw 7.0 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Vern Law.

Boston used the timely hitting of Don Young to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Red Sox on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
