The performance of Hack Wilson proved critical in helping Baltimore beat Milwaukee, 17-6. The Orioles designated hitter hit 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. The 8th-place Orioles improved to 54-77.

Early in the game, Wilson had a 3-run home run for Baltimore. It was his 30th home run of the season and put the Orioles on top, 3-0.
