Orioles Win with Late Rally
|
The Baltimore Orioles beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 7-6, at Miller County Field. Ryan McMahon, in particular, was impressive. He was 3 for 6 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Baltimore reliever Waldis Joaquin picked up the win to move to 2-2. Mike Fiers suffered the loss. Heath Hembree picked up the save, his 3rd.
Billy McKinney came through with a big-time hit for Baltimore. The left fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the 13th inning to give his team the lead, 7-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Andre Ivarsson, the Baltimore manager.
Baltimore is now 52-77, while Milwaukee is 84-44.
