Siebern goes 3-for-4 to Power Twins Offense
|
With right fielder Norm Siebern leading the charge, the Minnesota Twins defeated the Texas Rangers, 9-1, at Globe Life Field. Siebern, who is tied for 9th in the AL in stolen bases with 21, was 3-4 with 2 doubles and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Marty Janzen earned the win for Minnesota. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 7 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 1-3. With the win over Texas, the Twins improved to 65-58.
Siebern contributed in the top of the fifth. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring double. It was one at-bat among others that helped Minnesota get the win.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Siebern.
