Mets Get One-Run Win at Milwaukee
|
New York (N) starter Don Drysdale pitched well against the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller County Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Bill Gogolewski recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 26 for 26. The Mets have an impressive 69-43 record.
New York (N) used the clutch hitting of Frank Robinson to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Mets the lead, 3-2. For the game, Robinson had 1 single and 1 double in 3 at-bats.
Robinson called the win a test of his team's "mettle."
