Brewers Rally to Eke Out Win
The Milwaukee Brewers wiggled past the San Francisco Giants, 4-3, at Miller County Field. The win was highlighted by the performance of Milwaukee pitcher Pete Smith. The first-place Brewers, at 73-37, lead the American League by 4 games.

The Brewers got a clutch hit from right fielder Johnny Grubb. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Brewers.

"We were the better team," crowed Grubb.
