Texas beat Arizona at Chase Field, escaping with a 7-6 win. The win in large part was due to shortstop Eugenio Suárez. He was 2-4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The victory puts Texas at 39-70.

Suárez had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a full count fastball from Dave Veres, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Rangers a 6-5 lead. It was the 25th home run of the year for Suárez.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Rangers manager Kyle Shea. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
