Rockies Win Thriller, 6-5
The Colorado Rockies knocked off the St. Louis Cardinals, 6-5, at Coors Field. Snuffy Stirnweiss was a big reason Colorado won. The second baseman was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Alex Carrasquel snagged the win in relief. He goes to 5-4 on the season. Johnny Welch suffered the loss. Colorado is now 49-60, St. Louis 52-56.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Stirnweiss hit a fastball from Johnny Welch for a solo home run. The Rockies, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
