New York (A) Sends San Francisco Packing with 4-1 Loss
Rich Nye brought his A-game to help New York (A) defeat the San Francisco Giants, 4-1. Raul Alcantara recorded the save for New York (A), his 3rd of the season. The loss puts San Francisco at 5-6.

Tyler Freeman had a big 2-run double for the Yankees in the bottom of the third inning. With New York (A) leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from Albie Lopez, who finished 4th in the AL in ERA with 3.01 in 1985, and swatted a double to center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Yankees ahead, 4-0.

"Rich just went about his business, throwing strikes," said New York (A) manager Brett Fogerson.
