The Newark Bears have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making.
It's Michael Fulmer, this year's Sub League 2 Pitcher of the Year Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance.

Fulmer compiled a 19-6 record in 25 starts, tallied 248 strikeouts in 210 innings and recorded a 2.49 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .203 batting average against him.

He received 14 first place votes out of a possible 16. Geremi Gonzalez of the Newark Bears finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Pat Zachry of the Newark Bears finished third.
