Wednesday, October 1st, 1969
1969 was a year to remember for Roberto Rodriguez.

The Hudson Valley Renegades starting pitcher was the owner of a 2.00 ERA this season over 81 innings of work. He made 38 relief appearances and had 10 saves, 129 strikeouts, 18 walks and a record of 7 wins and 3 losses.

He's also now got some hardware, as the 32-year-old has been named the Sub League 2 Reliever of the Year Award winner.

"It's something I can tell my grandchildren some day, pretty special," he said.

He received 16 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Mark Littell of the Huntington Beach Bengals finished second in voting, while Jeff Reardon of the Madison Velocity finished third.
