SL2 Names Bears Chrisley Winner Monday, August 25th, 1969 25-year-old Neil Chrisley made a few Newark headlines during this past week as the rookie left fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Sub League 2 officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 9 hits in 23 at-bats to put up a .391 average. Chrisley collected 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and scored 6 runs. To date this season Chrisley is hitting .236 with 25 home runs. |
