Perez Punishes SL1 Pitchers This Week Monday, August 25th, 1969 So far in his young career, Eduardo Perez has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Sub League 1 in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 23-year-old Kendall West Nailers first baseman hit at a torrid .455 clip as he collected 10 hits in 22 at-bats, 5 home runs, 10 RBIs and 9 runs scored. For the year Perez has hit .288 with 36 home runs, 80 RBIs and scored 92 runs. |
