Durham Blanks New Haven, 6-0
Friday, August 22nd, 1969
It was not a good day at the plate for the New Haven Ravens. They came up empty when it mattered against Durham Bulls right-hander Alex White, who scattered 2 hits across 9 innings and held the Ravens scoreless.
"We had 2 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," New Haven manager said later.
White chalked up 9 strikeouts and 1 walk in the 6-0 Bulls win.
Checking out his season stats to date, White has 1 save in 11 relief appearances with a 8-11 record and 4.18 ERA.
