3-Game Suspension for Velocity Kelton Monday, August 18th, 1969 Velocity left fielder David Kelton was incensed after being suspended for 3 games by the commissioner's office following a heated argument the day before in the Madison-Durham game at Ballpark of Madison. He was thrown out of the game for arguing a strike call. The league office cited Kelton for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct," which included throwing his hat at the umpire several times.
