Star of the Week Picked in SL1 Monday, August 11th, 1969 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Sub League 1, but last week Tim Hyers of the Colorado Springs Fusion reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Hyers rocked opposing pitching for a .409 average (9-for-22), 2 home runs and 10 RBIs to come away with the award. Hyers is currently batting .234 with 19 home runs, 61 RBIs and 67 runs scored. He has 90 hits in 385 at-bats. |
