Fusion Mathematically Out of Playoffs Monday, August 4th, 1969 The Colorado Springs Fusion have been largely irrelevant in the playoff chase for the 1969 season, but now the team is officially and mathematically eliminated from contention. The Fusion have missed the playoffs 19 times in their 23 years as a MLB Triple A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 3rd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1965.
