Thursday, July 31st, 1969
The baseball world has known for a long time that the Durham Bulls were not destined for the playoffs this year. But now it is official, as the team was mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today.
This is the club's 12th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 1957. In total, the Bulls have missed the playoffs 20 times in their 23-year history.
