Gibralter on a Tear, Hits for Cycle Saturday, July 26th, 1969 Steve Gibralter was at the front of a Nailers hit parade today at Bridgeport Ballpark. The right fielder finished 4-for-4 and hit for the cycle as Kendall West triumphed 14-0 over the Bridgeport Bluefish. "Steve was putting on a real clinic out there," Kendall West manager said following the game. Gibralter finished the game with 5 runs batted in and had 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run. Steve Gibralter hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a two-run triple in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Clayton Lambert in the 4th and singled in the 6th. Thus far this year Gibralter is hitting .269 with 30 home runs, 82 RBIs and 71 runs scored. |
