Player of the Week Trophy to Luebbe Monday, July 14th, 1969 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Sub League 1, but last week Roy Luebbe of the Reno Aces reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Luebbe rocked opposing pitching for a .455 average (10-for-22), 1 home run and 9 RBIs to come away with the award. This year Luebbe is hitting .206 with 4 home runs and 29 RBIs in 72 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .250 with 15 walks and 30 runs scored. |
